Love taps. Roberts slashed Draper harder and isn't even receiving discipline.

Thornton threw a couple two-handers at Phaneuf after time was up and there was no supplemental discipline.

If you don't get suspended for it after play is over you're not going to get suspended.

Didn't Fartbart poke Thornton in the gut with his stick first , but the refs missed it? That's why Thornton was angry?

Maybe a fine for both of them?

Because Phaneuf speared Melker Karlsson in the nads. So what?

He was mad because he tried to trip Dustin Brown and failed, then Brown tried to trip Thornton and succeeded. Then Thornton tried to hit Brown when he wasn't looking (barely made contact, despite what Jim Fox was going on about). Forbort didn't like that and went after Thornton which ended with the stick swinging and the penalty.

That's it... lol didn't seem like thornton really put much power into that swing, granted he prob shouldn't have done the 2 handed swing. Didn't seem that bad.

Jousting between Forbort and Thornton was whatever. Thornton hitting Brown from behind seconds earlier was worse. That was dirty.

Thats nothing, he was just saying hello. At least with Thornton he'll back it up and drop the gloves,( he doesn't hide behind being a star)even if he is a bit of a dick.

Barely even a slash, that's nothing. Christ I've slashed my friends harder. Come on guys, lighten up.

This kind of slash happens all the time. Didn't Draper give Roberts one of these yesterday, too?

For whatever reason, the NHL doesn't really seem to mind slashing, even if it's clearly intent to harm your opponent and nothing else.

The whole sequence.

Yeah, he's kind of a dick, but he'll back it up. Still a chump move. Refs had lost control and Thornton was looking for someone all shift and wasn't gonna stop till they called something.

Thought it was just a fun night in the rivalry, everyone was giving a little extra. two-hander to the arm definitely qualifies as a phone call I would think.

On the other hand, with the DoPS, maybe if Forbort would have dropped and clutched his arm we'd be looking at games.
