Would be good.
But still not enough.
We need either a full superleague with promotions and relegations that INCLUDE all european leagues as lower tier (not as a different competition)
OR
We need to come back to a format where only 1 team per federation plays the CHAMPIONS league and then 2 more european cups for other teams. With only a few qualified teams from each federation.

It’s being overwhelmingly rejected for a second time, and this time it’s only taken a couple of hours for it to happen because clubs saw how bad the backlash was the first time around.

Well clubs aside from Real Madrid and Barca who’s president’s seem to live in an alternate reality

It is all a power play so they get more of the CL revenues.

I obviously hate it, even if they do have some good ideas. Best result is that UEFA/FIFA makes more concessions to the viewers/players and the super league crashes and burns.

Why does everybody like the UCL format news?

The current group stage is awful, super predictable and with tons of dead rubber games. Would much rather see the greater variety of matchups the Swiss model provides.

Wow brave on the part of Dinamo Zagreb to say they are against the Super League, like they would be invited 🥱 (though in fairness they are one of the founding members of the ECA whom Nasser Al-Khelafi is now the president of)

The current format still has potential for things like groups of death or upset to happen.

In the new format it would be insanely unlikely for a big team to actually miss the knockout stages and a minnow needs a lot more luck to make it as opposed to snagging a couple draws against another low team in their group and a shock upset against one of the big boys. Now they'd need a larger number of results to quality.

It also allocates more group stage positions to the big leagues at the expense of champions of smaller leagues.

It's fairly standard protect the big boys formatting.

We wouldn't see groups like this years Group F as often which would suck. Also less room for upsets and teams like Copenhagen moving on in second.

The byes give big teams more to play for and the extra spots will make it easier for the minnows to at least make the round of 24.

If we took the results of the group stage and applied it to the new single table, you would have:

1. City - 18 (11)
2. Real Madrid - 18 (9)
3. Bayern - 16
4. Atleti - 14
5. Arsenal - 13
6. Porto - 12 (7)
7. Barca - 12 (6)
8. Real Sociedad - 12 (5)
_______________________
9. Leipzig - 12 (3)
10. Inter - 12 (3)
11. Dortmund - 11
12. Napoli - 10
13 Lazio - 10
14. PSV - 9
15. Shakhtar - 9
16. PSG - 8
17. Milan - 8
18. Copenhagen - 8
19. Lens - 8
20. Feyenoord - 6
21. Galatasaray - 5
22. Newcastle - 5
23. Man Utd - 4 (-3)
24. Benfica - 4 (-4 / 7)
_______________________
25. Salzburg - 4 (-4 / 4)
26. Braga - 4 (-6)
27. Young Boys - 4 (-6)
28. Celtic - 4 (-10)
29. Antwerp - 3
30. Sevilla - 2
31. Union Berlin - 2
32. Crvena - 1

Obviously hypothetical as the matchups will be different and there will be 4 more teams, but it shouldn't take that much to get into the top 24 (5.3 points, converting 6 games to 8).

Final day would be way more exciting when you have bunches of teams needing to improve their goal difference to both reach the knockouts AND at the top for the byes.

I understand your 2nd point about less champions of small nations, but they still will have a chance to qualify.

We wouldn't see groups like this years Group F as often which would suck. Also less room for upsets and teams like Copenhagen moving on in second.
See above, they would move on fairly easily.

I just wish they'd drop a slot or two from the big 5 leagues and open it up for more smaller league teams into the group stages. It will never happen and it wouldn't change what we likely see in the later stages, but do miss when it was more of a "champions" league.
