Figure we might as well get this up and going again, what with CSS releasing their preliminary list today.

Looks like there's a lot of talent at the top of this class:

Connor McDavid http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=183442
Jack Eichel http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=191959
Noah Hanifin http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=177710
Oliver Kylington http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=142238
Travis Konecny http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=205148
Jeremy Roy http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=151150
Pavel Zacha http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=130786
Mathew Barzal http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=186310
Mitch Marner http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=223194
Colin White http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=183810

And it goes on. Personally, I'm expecting another bottom 10 finish (again and again, it seems :shakehead), and this draft seems like a great opportunity to add another piece to Rielly/Kadri/Gards/Nylander/Percy/Finn.

Early take: I think Konecny and Roy are going to be big risers. The States also seem to have a ton of talent this year with Eichel, White, Zack Werenski, Kyle Connor, and Jordan Greenway all looking to go in the top 15. What do you guys think?

Sprong and Merkley are also two guys to keep an eye on

Sprong is just lethal offensively.

One guy to keep an eye on throughout the year is Dylan Strome. Was not impressed with his rookie season this past year, but he's got a huge upside.

He should get a better opportunity this season one would think

Really high on Jeremy Roy. I'm more a fan of selecting forward rather than defenseman in the 1st round, but this year he's a guy I really want. He's just an all-around beast RHD, he's got really high hockey IQ, great vision and puck moving abilities, great offensive game, very hard and accurate shot from the point, solid two-way and in his own-end, not overly big but decent size and strength.

Also very like Nicolas Roy. He's a very tall center with high hockey IQ and very solid offensive skills. Has a pretty decent two-way, once he fills out his frame he'll be a very good player.

Big fan of Alexandre Carrier on defense. Off the chart puck movingabilities, great hockey IQ and skates very well. Decent two-way game, loads of leadership qualities. High upside.

Anthony Beauvilier his a really high skilled forward with great offensive instincts. Awesome shot, can really explode this year.

Grabriel Gagne is a lanky forward with skills who skates well. Like N.Roy, once he fills out his frame he could be very solid.

Love Gabriel Gosselin from Bathurst. Can be a great role player, one of the hardest hitter I've seen, very solid defensively, great skater and great overall skills. Lacks scoring touch, but his skills can be very useful in his role.

From the guy who played midget AAA last year , I very like Maxime Fortier and Brendan Hamelin.

Also a lot of others great names from the Q like Sprong, Noel, Meloche, Bell, etc.

We're starting this already!

Anyway this early on I'm keen on Rantanen and White.

Agreed on this one.

This kid has so many tools to be a #1 Center.

Skating is still not his strongest point, but he certainly has the tools and desire to be a big time play making Center.

Gear up boys. Hopefully this is the year we finally draft our Franchise #1 Centre.

That is, of course, if we haven't already with William ;)

Kylington for me in the back end, Barzal Imo just oozes the second coming of sakic and being the reason I am into hockey is for sakic I've backed into getting for him lol.

Marner is a guy from the OHL along with Konecky who seems damn impressive....the 67's recently have been insane with their track record. White is cool but I don't know why after getting so happy about wingers in our farm all i look for now is the centers.

fun part is if we even make the playoffs it's a good chance we get a franchise player it's ****ing insane!!!!!!!
Yeah we'll be able to get a quality prospect wherever we pick in the first round, unfortunately I think we'll pick pretty high again next year. Or fortunately depending on how you look at it haha.

Any players from the IceDogs who are draft eligible in 2015? This way I can pay more attention to them when watching the Dogs play

Graham Knott, Haydon McCool, Johnny Cornell, Vince Dunn and Zach Wilkie.

Not sure if there has been any trades for the team, but from last year these are the players.

Agree on Konecny. He'll have a monster year and challenge top 3.

Watch Mitch Marner this year. Gonna be on London's top line. Kid is insanely good, but hasn't been able to show it yet to how deep the Knights were.

This kid will challenge for the top 3-5 this season

How many picks do the Leafs still have? Number 2 is gone to LA, I believe.
