Not entirely sure where to post this or who to contact for such information really.

I am a 21 year old student living in Balloch, Scotland for the summer on a work internship through the Pennsylvania State University.
Hockey has been a big part of my life, much like many Canadians, growing up I played it and have grown to love and appreciate the game on a completely different level.
Especially, since coming over seas and not having my daily fix of hockey I realize how much it was a big part of my life and who I am.

I'm looking for any ice hockey club(s) to work/ intern/ volunteer with for the summer. I just want to be in and around the arena again, there is nothing I'm more passionate about and would love the opportunity to get some experience within the British hockey leagues.
To be honest, I'm not sure what would be available for someone to do during the summer months but if anyone here's of anything or anything that has to do with hockey in the UK, writing, covering prospects, teams. general works etc. I would really appreciate it.

Thank you.

There is amateur hockey in Paisley and pro hockey in Glasgow (Braehead) but I'm not sure what you could do for them during the summer, maybe help out with their website and do some player signing articles for them but that's about it, certainly nothing in the rink. If you want to be around the rink you'd probably have to get involved with the rec hockey team in Paisley

You may be able to play some rec hockey, but other than that there will be almost **** all for you to do to be frank.

They are a good place to start to look for teams etc near you that you can contact.

Unsure as to your background, if you play or not, if you have contacts, etc.

Feel free to email/contact pretty much any team in this country asking them if there are any intern/volunteer positions available, or even if there is anything you can help with.

They are your most local team, they play in the Elite league, this past lockout they had Drew Miller play for a few weeks. They may be your best bet.

Thanks, I am a goalie and would of loved to play this summer (was on the ice 3 times a week last year) but unfortunately I didn't bring my equipment over.
And doubt you can rent goalie equipment or anything like that otherwise playing would be my first desire for sure.
Will try and contact the Breahead team, once again thanks for the posts and help guys.
