RULES
Each poll runs 24 hours and is public. Vote for your choice and nominate a prospect from the list below to replace that player on the subsequent poll.

If there is a tie in the Top 10, there will be a run-off and the losing prospect will be returned to the pool for the next vote. Outside the Top 10, the tie will hold, the two highest Adds will be added and we'll move on.

PROSPECT RANKINGS
In the past, we've also done skater-only and goalie-only threads, as well as aggregate-type of rankings. If someone is interested, they are welcome to inherit that responsibility.

We're in that weird period where a lot of guys are pretty close in terms of potential, imo.

  1. Justin Bailey, RW - 3rd/4th line forward
  2. Nicholas Baptiste, RW- 3rd/4th line forward
  3. Jacob Bryson, D
  4. Casey Fitzgerald, D - 5-7th D
  5. Vasily Glotov, C- 3rd/4th line forward
  6. Brandon Hickey, D - 5-7th D
  7. Linus Lindstrand Cronholm, D
  8. Sean Malone, C- 3rd/4th line forward
  9. Brett Murray, LW
  10. Andrew Oglevie, C - 3rd/4th line forward
  11. Danny O'Regan, C - 3rd/4th line forward
  12. Linus Weissbach, LW

Glad Nelson, who I have #9, finally got through. Of those left on the board, I have Baptiste and Malone tied at 6.475 (11 and 12), then Bailey at 6.15 (15), then Fitzgerald, Brown, and O'Regan rounding out my top 20. So add Brown I guess

Bailey getting no respect
Everyone likes the shiny new toys(more recent signings/acquisitions/draft picks). I've been voting for Baptiste since somewhere in the Top 10. I realize he has been inconsistent, but I still think he has a good shot at being a bottom 6 NHLer.

He's getting the respect a 23yo player with more than 50 NHL games under his belt with practically nothing to show for them deserves in a prospects poll, IMO. There's a point at which we know what we've got, and it's not much.

He's not even really that good of an AHL player.

It’s actually sucked. I’ve missed voting for like 6 guys I really like because I think Baptiste, while his ceiling isn’t high, will be a full time nhler.

I wouldn’t say the same about Bailey though.

We'll see. I think can prove some people wrong this year if given a shot

I think there still might be a little bit of a something there with him, and I definitely think people get distracted with "shinier" new prospects in these things, but it's hard for me to say Bailey should be getting a ton of prospect respect right now.

I have to go Oglevie, he had some moments in the prospect tournament that made me see a quality mid 6 player.
