Slovenia ran out of gas in the end. Lots of positive in this game, the specials teams were good and Genoni was solid. On the other hand, not enough chances created 5 on 5, especially by the Corvi and Malgin lines.

The constant Hofmann bashing has to stop. The guy was lied to by Columbus and decided it was more important to spend time with his newborn, a very understandable decision.

Jesus, can nobody take a joke around here anymore? I was just wondering if Fischer had snubbed him, which would have been a mistake in my opinion, as he is one of our few reliable goalscorers and PP specialist when he is on his A game.

If you want your message to be taken as a joke make it look like one. The guy has been bashed for daring to break an NHL contract to sign at home while players constantly do this in the other direction.

It wasn't a joke, he just didn't know why Hofmann is not here. And he's not here because he had an off-season surgery.

I don't think I ever "bashed" him on this board, or in real life for that matter for not fulfilling his contract with Columbus. As I said, I think he should be on this team if healthy and I also thought Fischer shouldn't have snubbed him the year he came back to Zug. I was only thinking about to his famous interview with Arno del Curto when I referred to the "signora". And that the comment was meant in a "tongue in cheek" manner should be obvious from how its written. Hofmann chose to be a public person and is getting paid millions after all. And that choice just includes opening yourself up to be made fun of occasionally. I'm sure he hears much worse from opposing fans in the playoffs, on a nightly basis. If you think my remark was that bad I suggest you pay the Leafs board here a visit sometime.

Tell me that you don't know anything about hockey without telling me that you don't know anything about hockey

Hope he'll get more ice time next year, he deserves it.
:laugh::laugh::laugh: I said he was crap when Toronto picked him up and he was. They should have given N Robertson that ice time. He was on pace for 35 pts. He might get more ice time if Colorado doesn't add any players in the off season but he won't do much better.

Then my apologies for misreading your post, I've seen Hofmann called a primadonna countless time in reference of him quitting on the Blue Jackets during the season, which I feel is not warranted as they took Olympic participation away from him a few weeks before the games.
