These were the kind of passes Gretzky would make on a regular basis during a hockey game back in the 80s. Once you see the replay, it looks routine, but the first time you see it, it's like you've never seen anything like it before because you don't expect it. Gretzky would see the replay in his head, it seemed, before it happened the first time, and it would look almost like magic to the naked eye. This phenomonon would happen every game with Gretz (the moment where you said to yourself, did he just do THAT?)...

Equally underwhelmed, because there's a much better one in a Rangers uniform at 33 seconds. Curling on the left wing in the neutral zone, he passes cross-ice into the zone to someone who is streaking over the blue-line.

Although neither pass is as close to as awesome as the "why don't you shut up and put your stick on the ice?" quote.

That was just creativity over any kind of skill. A nice pass that most wouldn't of thought of doing.

Eh?

What so special about that one? These two passes by the Sedins this year is equally or even more impressive.
