Depends how much that 8th year drops the cap hit.

I'm not fond of these long-term deals, but if it can keep the cap hit lower in this flat cap then I guess I can deal with it.

That makes sense though. I mean let's say that they've agreed to a $35m dollar figure.
At 7 years, the AAV is $5m. At 8 years, the AAV is $4.375m. That's a not insignificant difference.
Of course Hyman is cool with 7 years because then he gets his money sooner and still has another year at the end to make even more. Meanwhile Holland doesn't give a shit because he won't be there 8 years from now.
