This move keeps Weaver in the rotation going forward once Wainwright returns, so maybe Lynn should focus on pitching. Weaver >>> Leake, and any other short-term replacement won't have to do much to be an improvement over Leake.

Ummm... he's not making 12 mil for the next few years. I guess maybe with STL picking up some cash. Didn't know that at the time I posted. Also Leake's not a great 3.

Yeah, with the money thrown in its fine. At full price I don't want to take a Leake.

I take back what I said earlier now. I think Lynn is done here now. He doesn't sound like someone who wants to come back. The Cardinals are just going to qualify him, take the 2nd rounder or whatever the compensation is and move on.

Good move. Leake isn't very good. This also opens up a spot for Flaherty this year.
