Easily. 600 is well within reach as well.

It's a shame, really. Even a relatively un-injured Stamkos would've had a real chance to get to 700 and top 10 all time.

It really is a shame that injuries derailed a pretty big portion of his prime, starting with that injury in 2013 when he was legitimately looking like the best player in the world and a shortened season removed from his 60 goal year.

Considering he missed about 150 games between the 2013-14, 2016-17, 2019-20, and 2020-21 seasons, it's very reasonable to say he could've scored 57 more goals to be at 500 already. That's nearly two entire seasons worth of missed time for a guy that averages almost 43 goals per 82 games.

The odds of Stammer playing 82 games are slim and none and he probably should get some maintenance days (back-to-backs, etc.) if/when Kuch and Point get healthy, but right now he's actually on a 100 point pace.

We can just hope this is finally a season without more injury problems, but there's still 64 games for that to change.

Really happy that Stamkos has settled in this year and is looking comfortable. It really sucks he lost such a big portion of his peak years to injury but the guy just keeps sneezing points. Once we get Kucherov and Point back on PP1 then his production should get a sizable bump too. His year so far has been one of the many bright spots so far this season.

I feel like he reached this level 3-4 years ago. The knock on Stamkos has always been his playoff performances, where, at best, he's been a solid secondary scorer. I would love to see him turn that around, like he has so many things in his career. Having Stamkos play elite-level, or near elite, hockey in the playoffs would make us damn near unstoppable for the foreseeable future.

Remember when people on this sub wanted to trade him
I mean it's an neverending cycle. Stamkos has a good regular season and people love him, then playoffs come around and people start wondering if we need this guy or not. I love Stamkos but I also think we could easily find player(s) for that 8.5m that would be a bigger help when playoffs start.

That said, love to have him here and I hope he retires a Lightning.
