Hmmm. Betting WM is injured. I think he has been since the Western Canada trip.

i hope so

Who on the defensive side makes sense?

Ekblad? Hell no
Gudbranson? Doubtful
Mitchell? Doubtful as well

Campbell? Doubtful, although a possibility.
Kulikov? Non Tallon pick, maybe. Although his play this year is much better
Petrovic? Little value atm. Would be part of a package deal.

So either of the last three guys could be part of a deal, or someone is inured and Tallon wants to see if there's anything special in Kampfer

Kampfer has looked pretty good every time I watch him in San Antonio. I want the reason this happened to become clear.

Figured. He was close to being out vs Calgary if I remember correctly. Also could be the reason why he dropped to 3rd pairing and Petro took that spot.

Considering it's Mitchell that's out, I'm a bit surprised that it's not SOB getting the call. If it were Kulikov, Campbell or Ekblad, I could see why they would call Kampfer. We're losing quite a bit of defensive/PK ability with Mitchell out....not good, unless I'm mistaken as to what Kampfer brings to the table??

So a depth call up in case Mitchell becomes more serious?

Can't give up any soft penalties with Mitch out. Sucks he's gonna miss one vs his former mates.
