I do wonder how it calculates when you used keys and the like.

That's some excellent self control.

Pick it up, man.

You deserve it ;).

I'm on a work computer so I can't check right now to get an exact figure, but when I looked yesterday, it was between $700 and $800.

I'm at $360, about $120 per year.

Pretty cheap hobby I suppose - obviously have to factor in cost of building the PC as well. Tennis costs me probably like $300 a year (shoes, balls), probably spent about $500 per year on books. And who knows how much on booze, board games and stuff like that. I can't really complain about the cost of PC games.

I did over 5100 in almost 15 years... I wonder if that's bad?

$340 a year? Seems like a reasonable amount of money to spend on a hobby (hardware not included).

With the summer sale starting tomorrow, I haven't even thought about which games I want. I pretty much have all the ones I'm really interested in (and more). Of course, my wishlist is 67 items long and it IS the summer sale, so I'll probably pick up something I don't need.

Another summer, another desperate attempt to not be sucked into the Steam sale.

I've made actual progress on the backlog over the last year, so I really gotta cut myself off this year.

It's almost fortunate that I don't have home internet for another couple weeks. :(

I can probably avoid it, GoG's sale ended last week and I got the same deals on games from my Falcom/XSeed backlog, Trails of Cold Steel and Ys VII.

Only thing I may have a look at on Steam is Trails in the Sky 3rd chapter, but while these are the best JRPG's I've played in almost 2 decades I've been on the fence as to whether I should spend some of my limited time on ch.3 when it's mostly a dungeon crawl.

Sooooooooo I just realised I had bought the Humble Freedom bundle a while back and conveniently forgot about it. I already own a couple of the games so PM for a key:

The Stanley Parable
Stardew Valley
+more to come

I also can't guarantee I haven't given some of these away and forgotten too.

Stardew is an excellent game by the way, if you're even on the fence about whether you might like it or not, you probably will. Would recommend to anyone.

I forgot about Steam emailing you when wishlist items are on sale....crap.

Now that I'm aware that MGSV is $15, can I, in all good conscience, ignore it?

my only complaint about the steam and humble sales is that, games that are on sale have been more heavily discounted in recent flash or weekly sales. why not discount the same amount in the big summer sale
