The Dallas Stars sent a message today to the rest of the HFNHL. You might knock us down, but we're never out.

Dallas, Texas. (AP) - The offensively underrated defensive core of the Dallas Stars took charge of their first round series tonight, and vaulted them into the second round against the Vancouver Canucks this evening by putting up one of the most specacular displays of a comeback ever seen in the HFNHL.

Set up by forward rookie sensations Derek Roy and Maxime Ouellet on the forward lines, the Dallas Stars defensive core put home the puck tonight against the San Jose Sharks to become one of a short list of teams who have come back from a 0-3 deficit to win the series 4 games to 3.

Some random quotes after the series winning game.

"We're tired but we're only going to get better after this series", stated Alexei Yashin.

"We're playing as a team like we did all year...this is the proof of it all. We came back with our backs against the biggest wall you can have and we pushed it back and broke it down"....Mikko Koivu.

"Roysie and I are going to make this team better...sure we're rookies but we know what it takes to win...we're on a roll...we're the 2nd line scoring a cup winner needs...we're going as far as we can all go". Michel Ouelette.

"Who do we have in the next round? Vancouver? Ah...well...their GM is a funny smeeling furry tribble...he must be a Sens fan...we're not worried."...Brian McCabe.

"Sure they (Vancouver) took the power house of the West out during the regular season. The Blues were not built for the playoffs. Vancouver is a strong team who is, but we have this series in our back pocket if we keep playing like we have in this series, especially in the last 4 games. Kipper isn't going to tease our opponents anymore. It's Cup or nothing and this team is firing on all pistons now. I'm leading the HFNHL in scoring and I plan on staying there with Kipper winning the Conn Smythe because he's our man"...Derek Roy

    Ladies and Gentlemen...Vancouver vs. Dallas.

    Round 2...

    Prediction...Dallas in 6
