Spreading the Stars brand to PEI? What a concept. I'm sure it's an awesome scenario. Pro hockey on a tiny Canadian island-province. I'm sure they're all the rage there. I'm sure it's a good experience all the way around.

Why? If I were a Stars fan living in Dallas, I'd be a bit perturbed by this...

Why? Is preseason hockey, at regular season prices, such a huge loss?
Most pro sports teams do their preseason/training camp bit somewhere other than their home digs.

Training camp is a great time to see the players up close, meet rookies and prospects while they're in town, and generally see things on a more personal level than you could imagine during the season. Also, I don't know about every team but the Hurricanes give away a ton of preseason tickets, especially to STHs. This year they were forced to play an afternoon game during the week, so they just opened it up for free general admission... probably the only time I will ever see an NHL game on the glass :yo:

Anyway, I'm not saying I'd be red-in-the-face furious, but I'd be annoyed if it were my team. It's taking away something I look forward to for several months.

If it's the same format as 2010, there are no preseason games played (just scrimmages).

Cue "The Stars are moving to PEI once they are sold" rumors. :sarcasm:
