For Chicago in 2010, there were over by $4,157,753 since they pushed Toews and Kane bonuses to count against next year's cap.

Vancouver's 2011 playoff playing roster was actually over the cap by like 3-4 million iirc.

They got "lucky" as they LTIR'd Salo to begin the year so everyone could fit... and when Edler went down later in the year, miraculously got "lucky" as Salo was fit to return as Edler was then placed in LTIR. He was then cleared to return with only a couple games left in the season and for the playoffs... where cap didn't matter no longer.

Man that top 6 D was outstanding that year. Then Hamhuis got hurt.
