It's a real bummer not to get the real SC playoffs action, so here is an alternative, poor as it might be, that might at least satisfy some of my inner curiosity. I mean, this is almost like a science experiment, maybe?

Whilst staying home a lot anyway now, I could aim to simulate 2-4 matches every night, keeping it in a realistic playoff-like schedule.

The unofficial broadcasting partner EA Sports decided that the first game is Nashville at Vegas.

That's an interesting idea, but if my math holds (which might not), that would mean something like 15-20 extra games to simulate, to get all teams at 71. :S

In few moments I will sim the CGY at STL game 1 and then probably follow that with CAR @ WSH.

This is what I hope to accomplish, haha.

Got my hands full last night, so I am lacking on the box scores a bit. I mostly simulated whilst doing other stuff. I will update the results now.

Every team has played twice. Only Flyers and Islanders have two wins, other matchups are tied 1-1! Nashville's Johansen tops the points with 3+3=6.

Oilers-Canucks have been a heated one, with Oilers already having to play penalty kill 12 times. This series also featured the first game misconduct of these playoffs. However, Oilers didn't manage to capitalize the 5 minute PP. And while McDavid and Draisatl have been lacking on point production, RNH showed with his hat trick who is the REAL all star center/winger!
