Out of town scoreboard thread is fine for this discussion. We don't need another thread.

Edit. I'll save it since we can just use this as the best out of town thread sinxr that should fill soon.

My predictions follow, though I hope for the sake of the Zid deal that Detroit can pull off an upset (and make the ECF or SCF), and that Pittsburg will manage to knock out the Rangers before being eliminated themselves in the next round. I just don’t think either of those situations, so I’ve described what I actually predict, not what I hope. My projected winner follows the equal sign.

Eastern Conference Match-ups:

Montreal Canadiens and Ottawa Senator= Montreal in 6
Tampa Bay Lightning and Detroit Red Wings= Tampa in 6
New York Rangers and Pittsburg Penguins= New York Rangers in 5
Washington Capitals and New York Islanders= Washington in 6

Western Conference Match-ups:

St. Louis Blues-Minnesota Wild= Minnesota in 7
Nashville Predators-Chicago Blackhawks= Chicago in 7
Anaheim Ducks-Winnipeg Jets= Anaheim in 6
Vancouver Canucks-Calgary Flames= Vancouver in 6

I might actually be able to enjoy hockey this season.

Going to root for the Blues because it's the only logical choice. I have little faith in them but hopefully they can do something for their fans for once.

I'll do my East Predictions

Rangers over Pens in 5
Tampa over Detroit in 5
Montreal over Sens in 7
Caps over Islanders in 6

Would like to see the Wings do well for Zidlicky, the Blues for Marty, and whoever plays the Rangers.

Other than that, don't care much at all.

MTL/OTT = OTT in 6
TBL/DET = TB in 5
RAGS/PITT = PITT in 6
CAPS/ISLES = CAPS in 6

I think Ottawa has enough offense to overpower Price but it will depend on their goaltending. Tampa will be Detroit rather easily, just the better team all around with better goaltending. I am thinking (hoping) the Pens shock the Rangers so I can relax and enjoy the playoffs. Caps should easily beat the Isles but I get a feeling it won't be as easy as it should be.

STL/MIN = STL in 7
PREDS/CHI = PREDS in 6
ANA/PEG = PEG in 7
VAN/CGY = VAN in 6

St. Louis will be a close series and is really a coin flip but I will go with STL. Same with Nashville, could really go either way. I suspect Winnipeg will beat Anaheim as their goaltending has been suspect and Winnipeg can use their size to their advantage. That being siad, if Pavalec reverts to normal Pav, then it's Anaheim to win. Vancouver should beat Calgary in a very entertaining series but it will be ufn to watch either way.

I think the West is far more difficult to predict than the East but as long as the Rags get knocked out prior to the Finals I will be happy.

I'm rooting for Vancouver in the West. Sucks that they might have another goalie controvery. They BETTER start Lack, Miller was terrible last night. I could have done better than that.

I like the Capitals in the East, but I don't care if the Islanders win. I think the Islanders match up better with NYR than Washington does.

Ottawa always gives Montreal problems and is Pacioretty back yet? Montreal will get by them after 7 long games I think.

Anaheim and St Louis have really questionable goaltending.

They cannot win. I'm hoping the Pens or whoever do whatever the can to knock out the Blue****s. I'm moving out of the East if I have to deal with 50 years of 2015 and multiple replays on MSG.

Nip this in the bud.

Western Con Final: Nashville vs. St. Louis = Nashville in 6
Eastern Con Final: Rangers vs. Islanders = Islanders in 6
SC Final: Nashville vs Islanders = Nashville in 6

I am unsure about Nashville because they are overachieving based on good coaching regarding their roster - BUT if this overachieving will not end by the end of regular season, i see them win the SC.
If not, I see St. Louis in the final.

Islanders are a very young, offensively hungry team. Only way they lose in the POs is their lack of experience and consistance.
But i dont see a better team in the east right now!
