I know, Stamkos and Nash have been incredible.

No matter how you slice it or try to spin it, Tampa has far more players that are capable of putting the puck in the net using skill rather than garbage bounce goals. Not that I'm saying there is anything wrong with garbage goals because there isn't. The point is that when both teams play with the same will to win, Tampa is a better team because they have the edge in skill.

The Rangers can't produce more offense than Tampa, it's just not possible. They'll have to win the defensive battle and if last night was any indication, it's not going well.

My Conn Smythe candidates for each of the remaining teams would be:

Rangers- Henrik Lundqvist
Tampa-Tyler Johnson
Anaheim-Corey Perry
Chicago-Patrick Kane

What does everyone else think?

Throw in Duncan Keith with the insane minutes he's logging. Hedman gets an honorable mention as well.

Johnson is hands down the Smythe leader...4 game winners, leading the league in goals, his franchises first ever playoff hat trick...The kid is having a storybook playoffs...Nobody is even close.

Johnson is having the kind of campaign that he could be on the losing end of the finals and still win the Smythe.

And yet he may never get the chance as his team has to beat NY 3 more times

and it took him like 30 seconds to shave that beard when he got to the locker room

It seems like it took just 30 seconds for his hair on his head to fall out too.

It only took him about 10 seconds to lose 100 pounds of equipment, after the league made him go on a diet after the 04-05 lockout.
