I don't have time for a full analysis. But that may have been Coles best game as a Blue.

Also an really loving Lapierres game.

Can't speak to every game as a blue but I most certainly was impressed. He made great passes, solid defensively. Just played very mistake free.

Jackman was great at shutting down Malkin. How many times did he sandwich him against the boards?

Will say though did u notice there towards the end that when we were getting hemmed in our zone there were our two favorite guys on D

Someone mentioned Lappy should take Roy's place. Honestly wouldn't even be surprised or mad. Though he and reaves are looking dangerous as a fourth line.

Can't wait for MPS to get healthy, just another good player and our fastest skater to throw in the mix. Morrow I can sorta wait on...

Sure, FSMW. Just cutoff the Hitchcock interview after the 2nd question. Seriously, one of my favorite game day rituals is watching Hitch in his pre-game interview.

The Blues website has the full Hitch interview a majority of the time. It is either an audio or video clip that goes on the website an hour or so after the game.

I was impressed not only with LaPierre's defence, forecheck and faceoffs, but with his offensive sens. He made several really good passes to set up Reaves. If he can add some scoring to the 3th Line, and The 3rd in a pinch, while still adding feistiness to the team, he'll have been a great signing.

The funny thing about Reaves was that I watched him do individual shot drills Friday at practice and he was having issues hitting the net from the circle, then he goes out and scores the first goal of the game. :) Good recovery!

Great game to go to. Blues played great, tied the best start in franchise history. Could be a special season.

Don't know why everyone is so convinced Tarasenko tipped it. Not obvious at all really and he said he didn't even know if he did.

Hope Shattenkirk keeps it.

Another solid win. A great effort by everyone, in particular Lapierre, Cole, Shattenkirk and Reaves.

This team is really rounding into shape and showing the benefits of a full training camp with Hitchcock.

At one point last night, I realized the Blues now have a roster-full of very talented players.

It's going to be a very good season boys. Enjoy every game.

Blues were methodical and relentless tonight. Fun to watch. That game could of, and maybe should have been a blowout. MAF was great for them and the Blues missed the net, were offsides, fumbled the puck or it could have been a 5 goal win.

I predicted a 5-2 win on the first page, thought we'd get a lot luckier bounces (so to speak) then we did.

So I went to the game last night with my awesome brother, sister in law and amazing girlfriend (first time I ever sat front row at a game and am still super excited!!!) and was astonished at the size of Malkin!! Holy crap that dude is huge! Polak and Reeves I would say are the biggest Blues players and I saw him next to Reeves after a play and he was taller and more filled out that Reeves IMHO. Am I the only one who still can't get over his size? I always thought of him as skill guy and I guess in my mind's eye I associate skill with smaller stature but boy was I wrong. It was a real treat watching Malkin work along the boards (he didn't lose one board battle from what I saw). Anyways just my thoughts.

He is a big dude. And really you can try to neutralize him, but you aren't stopping him. Quite impressive. Blues played a great team game last night top to bottom. Great to see.

He's my favorite non-Blues player. The dude is a truck. He doesn't hit very often, but the guy just cannot be stopped.
