Fabbri clearly has the tools to be a long-term center option, but the more I see of him on the off-wing, the more I like him there. The team needs to play him where he's most effective. If that's at wing, then so be it.

I don't have an issue with Fabbri playing wing this year, or even next year. But he's clearly got the skills and the wheels to be an amazing center.

The time he curled around in the corner, went in front of the net and blew by the entire forecheck was eye-opening. That kind of speed shouldn't be against the wall on the breakout. It just shouldn't.

And you think Gawdin and Musil will lift this team? Musil isn't even PPG and Gawdin is pretty far off still. They're decent prospects but more likely to be bottom six players if they even reach the NHL. Barbashev is the best hope for the Blues down the middle.

We better hope they can. They are all we have going at center in the amateur ranks.
