Anyone have any reviews or feedback for CHL TV, for both home and away games?

I'm thinking of signing up ahead of this weekend but would like to know if the games are watchable or not?

Yes, they are all watchable. Some better than others. Some feeds have scoreboards and replays, some just have one camera. Some have intermission interviews, some just have the zamboni going around. Some the video is a little laggy. But they are all watchable. I recommend.

I've watched a few games and have nothing bad to say. Questionable commentators sometimes but all in all a good picture with a few hiccups, nothing major. I purchased the month and well worth the $25 dollars. You get to see all OHL games...for instance I'll be watching Guelph tonight. I have a smart tv so I downloaded the app and it was super easy.
I recommend.
I've heard friends use onhockey.tv to stream but the adds frustrate me. Plus what's $25 to watch a month of OHL hockey while supporting the CHL.

The more I look at our 2020 draft, the more I like what I see. Not sure about our 6th rounder Jax Bellwood, but you could make the case that the rest could all be serviceable OHLers, at a minimum. We already have 7 of the 2004s on the roster, including our future captain Bryce McConnell-Barker living up to every expectation. Toms, Schenkel, Carlisle, Allard, Hookey, all players that will form the cornerstone of our contender in two years time. Kudryavtsev has impressed so far as well.

And there is a lot more talent there as well. A few other Canadians performing well in their respective leagues; Jack Ryan leading his U18 AAA team with over a point per game in the U18 AAA loop, and Caleb Van De Ven also the highest scoring defenseman on his NOJHL team. Then there is the high end American talent that is there for the taking if we could find a way to coax them to come. 4 NCAA commits including 2 playing big roles on the USNTDP. Oh, and another import playing in the DEL.

Can you imaging the core we could have in 2 years if Raftis is able to work some magic with this '04 group?

Thank you both for your feedback. Just signed up for an OHL monthly subscription. If the quality is half way decent I'll keep renewing and will get the season option next year.

Agree on the bolded - with much less money spent on tickets, travel, and the occasional hotel, $25 for a monthly pass is nothing to help support the league. I'm impressed they will continue to play the games and fingers crossed the restrictions ease up a bit in 3 weeks!

Yeah, interesting the comments about him flipping between wing and centre. IMO he has been lights out centering the third line; I would much prefer to keep him there.

So do you guys think we make a move before the deadline? I think we're in a good position to get 2 years out of a 2002 born player, given our OA situation next year. I'd be targeting a RW or a defenseman as I'm not convinced that Watson and Cloutier are top 6 options on a championship roster and our defense is rather young.

Outsider's opinion? I think you guys are too good to not go for it. But you will need to improve the D which I think can be done in a cost effective way. Your OA situation might not permit you to make a move for Xhekaj but there may be other options. Goaltending seems fine with Tynan acquisition. With Holmes and Watson investigating, I think he's in the clear.

I am still hopeful that Halushak makes a return and can be serviceable in the bottom 4. That gives us:
Holmes (18) - O'Rourke (19)
Calisti (20) - Kudryavtsev (17)
Toms (17) - Carlisle (17)
Brzustowski (18) - Halushak (19)
*Gibson (16)

True, they are not the oldest group I have ever seen, but I think we have 9 bodies that I would not be afraid to put out there during game 7 of a series. They are all players, and can all hold their own. I like this group and wouldn't mess because we don't need to add depth, and any top end acquisition would be too expensive and prevent us from adding a middle 6 winger, which I believe we could really use.

For comparison, our defense pre-deadline in '17-'18 was:
Carroll (20) - Timmins (19)
Sandin (17) - Hollowell (19)
LeGuerrier (17) - DeMeo (18)
Caron (17) - Wale (17)
*Calisti (16)

After the top 5, this group scared me and we really didn't have any good options if we lost one of our top 4 to injury. No wonder we went out and got Sambrook at the deadline that year.

What the max number of players we can have? Just realized that even after we send Gibson back down, we have 24 players on the roster, and that doesn't even include Halushak. If the number we need to get down to is 23, it makes our trade deadline that much trickier.

I was under the impression that it was just 25 all season. I don't think that the roster size changes after the deadline other than for OA's.

That being said, I'd be willing to deal a younger forward like D'Intino and a pick if we could get our hands on a possible 2 year rental like Declan McDonnell.

I disagree with sell. I think we are neck and neck with Windsor and London as the roster sits today and a little ahead of Guelph. I prefer buy, preferably a mid 6 winger, but am also ok with stand pat.
