You can help name a spotless giraffe at Bright's Zoo

A rare, spotless giraffe born July 31 at Bright’s Zoo in Limestone has received a lot of attention from the zoological world.

The baby, a solid brown color instead of having the iconic spots that define other giraffes, is now thriving under the care of her mother and zoo staff and is available for the public to visit at the park.

Giraffe experts believe she is the only solid-colored reticulated giraffe living anywhere on the planet.

Staff are now looking for name suggestions from the public. Anyone can suggest a name by going to the zoo’s Facebook page, facebook.com/BrightsZoo.

Bright’s has narrowed the running down to four names: Kipekee, which means unique; Firyali, unusual or extraordinary; Shakiri, “she is most beautiful”; or Jamella, “one of great beauty.” ...

I was going to say Blankenbelle, but Shakiri is a very good option. She sort of looks like the gazelle from Zootopia.
