Everyone knows about the USA Women's team breaking / setting about 20 different sports records during the 2019 Women's World Cup - but aside from that - female athletes in sport had a phenomenal year
key highlights:
Kenya’s Brigid Kosgei etched her name into the history books of sport with one of the greatest running performances ever., smashing the the women’s marathon record held for 16-years by Paula Radcliffe by more than a minute, recording a time of two hours 14 minutes 04 seconds at the 2019 Chicago Marathon
Then just last week, female darts player Fallon Sherrock made history by becoming the first woman to triumph over a male player at a darts world championship.
All in all, a bloody magnificent year for the ladies!
