The Thrashers are marred in a 5 game losing streak and fans are starting to get very critical of the GMs decision to claim defenseman Sheldon Souray. His large contract and even larger attitude problems had him on the outs with his former team and he was subsequently waived. The Thrashers had just lost Randy Jones long term and needed a defenseman to fill the void. Since claiming Souray the team has not won a game and many speculate that he may be placed on waivers once again unless he can turn his game and attitude around. With Jones still out for another 3 months and Souray not fitting in the Thrashers may be in play for a defenseman that can do the job.
