Late bloomer for sure. I still remember how underrated he was centering scrubs on the 3rd line and still putting up 20 goals.

Congratulations to you, Big Pavelski.
Every season, it seems the posters get more vocal about how slow he is getting. How he’s inevitably going to slow down in the stats department.
Pvelski was the 205th overall pick for a very good reason. He was slow of foot speed. He isn’t much slower now.
He has incredible drive and above all, the hockey smarts to do whatever it takes to overcome his deficiencies.
He is often called the best tipper in the business. He wasn’t born with that, he works hard, still to this day, on this very skill.
It has made him a captain and a brilliant hockey player.
Congratulations again, Joe Pavelski, you’ve earned it.
