Just found some interesting records:
Both Ryan Ellis and Alex Pietraneglo are tied for all time points by a Canadian Defencemen at the WJC, at 14.
Jordan Eberle is now tied for 2nd All time in points by a Canadian player at 24. (With Jason Allison. Eric Lindros has 31.)
Eberle is also tied for 2nd for all time goals by a Canadian at 12. (JT's is #1 at 13. Eberle also has 1 credited for a shootout winner, in the same shootout that Tavares also scored in but wasn't credited for the GWG.) Still a long way from Pavel Bure's 27, the current WJC all team record for goals.
Jake Allen is 1 shutout away from tying Justin Pogge's shutout record, albeit I don't see him doing it in the gold medal game.
Anyone else know of some Canadian, or other WJC records that are in danger of falling tomorrow?
