He’s referring to a chant that was made popular by Slovakia's WCH teams of early 2000s. It goes something like - Slovenskóóó, Slovenskóóo, hey yah, hey yah, hey yah, Slovensko. Sounds stupid like this, you'd have to hear it.

Also your translation is a bit flawed. Normálne in this case is an adjective, so the translation is something like - You're right, that was no Slovakiaaa (from the chant), just normal Slovakia.

Ahhhhhhh, now it makes sense. Thanks!

What to say? We were not good enough.:(
It is sad to see players such as Lintner or Róbert Petrovický two years ago with tears in their faces... :shakehead

Here are some interesting facts about team Slovakia from iihf.com:

Well, most teams get better from one game to another, we get worse.

As much as I love Lintner as a person I can´t really feel the same way for him as I did fro Robo in 08. Because Petrovický actually was our best player on the ice back then, unlike him Lintner has a pretty big part in what happened this year with all his deffensve screwing up. He has never been much good at this level deffensively, but this year he was not even average offensively. I hope that his future with the national team is in the STV studio co-narrating the games, that is where we all love him the most.

Btw, kajoo, we´ve got a new one to annoy you:

I don't view this 12th place as a fiasco, or at the team with any sort of disgust. It is what it is. An Olympic year tournament with an experimental roster = two teenagers, and a new coach. I'm pleased that three stand out players on the team are U23 (Tatar, Sekera, Panik), and two of those are U20. If I was Hanlon, given how poor veterans like Lintner, Kukumberg, Granak, and Majesky played, I would have pushed the youth movement even further, i.e. include Zaborsky, Kytnar, Bliznak on forward, Mikus on defence.
