Bedard, Korchinski, Vlasic and now Slaggert. Slowly starting to look more watchable. Possibly Michigan gets eliminated soon and Nazar gets a taste would be nice too.
Michigan is a lock to make the national tournament so Nazar won’t be done until the end of the month at the absolute earliest

As long as he doesn't have much handsy play or vision or ability to create offense with some space, he should thrive under Richardson.

Anyone on this board have insight into how the rookies get their numbers?

Like, if they’re at a certain pedigree, they are obviously allowed to select their number and that which might be in high demand?

Or if they’re not regarded as a key prospect exactly, they might be allowed to choose between a range or are given a temporary number? And then are told they can change it later?

Depends on the team.

Some are strict about it and rookies are assigned a number and are only allowed to change it later.

Slaggert wore #19 all through his years with the Mission, USNDTP and Notre Dame. Since that number will be retired soon, they likely told him to pick a different one or just assigned him something. Alexandre Fortin is the last player to wear 84 for the Hawks.

Vlasic wore 43 when he signed with the Hawks after his college season ended a couple years ago. He had worn 7 at USNDTP and BU. When Colin Blackwell signed, he took 43, which he wore with the Rangers and Kraken, and Vlasic switched to 72.

I think Slaggert will switch it up later but I don't even think he'll take #91 since I'm sure Nazar will want it. And when Raddysh leaves #11 will be Oliver Moore who has worn that number all his life.
