Just to throw it out there, both parents were/are deaf.

I've wondered if there's something about names that start with the letter "O" that was pleasing to them, even though they can't hear the sound it makes? Like... feeling of the shape the mouth makes, liking the shape of the signed letter... something like that?

Wouldnt be too hard, he played for the Calgary Hitmen last year and grew up in BC/Alberta.

Was nearly a point per game in his 19 year old WHL season after playing the year before split between the dub and MJHL. Doesnt seem to have major NHL upside but potential is there, I could see a team taking a trial on him for an AHL try-out the year after next. Hes a bit small for an nhl tryout but he does have a lot of skill.
