What sort of size does your favorite team have in the system, as in prospects that are NHL material in some role or form.

New Jersey:

Aaron Voros 6`4 195 - (3rd line potential)
Ahren Nittel 6`3 225 - (2nd line/PP potential)
Barry Tallackson 6`4 212 - (2nd line potential)
Ivan Khomutov 6`3 205 - (3rd line potential)
Tuomas Pihlman 6`3 210 - (3rd/4th line potential,leader)
Jason Ryznar 6`4 204 - (4th liner, shutdown line)
James Massen 6`2 220 - (4th line mucker at best)
Travis Zajac 6`2/3 205 - (1st line center, all situations)

Carolina has some huge dman coming up... not all great potential though. Very few prospects to speak of in general, too.

Andrew Ladd 6'2 200 (2nd line LW)
Casey Borer 6'2 197 (4th-5th)
Brett Carson 6'4 220 (4th-5th)
Aaron Dawson 6'5 220 (3rd pairing)
Sean Curry 6'4 230 (could play 4th line W - now plays D/W)
Matej Trojovsky 6'5 220 (enforcer)

Leafs are really hurtin for size are biggest prospects that have some potential are goalies

Ford 6-4
Pogge 6-3

With Harrison 6-3 200+, and Sagat 6-3 190 ish having size but rather limited potential as in 6-7 D-man and 4th line Winger.

The Rangers prospects are pretty damn big. Kinda scary considering there just starting to load up on prospects. They also have probably 2 of the best forwards over 6-5...

Hugh Jessiman 6-5 225 (RW) - 1st line
Bruce Graham 6-6 220 (C) - 2nd
Marcus Jonasen 6-4 220 (LW) - 2nd
David Liffiton 6-3 210 (D) - top 4
Jake Taylor 6-4 210 (D) - 5th/6th D
Lee Farladeau 6-3 200 (C) - 3rd/4th line
Nate Guenin 6-3 205 (D) 6th D
Fedor Tyutin 6-2 200 (D) - Top 2
Al Montoya 6-2 200 (G) - Starter
Garth Murray 6-2 205 (C) - 3rd liner/PK
Bryce Lampman 6-2 200 (D) - Top 4
Chris Holt 6-2 220 (G) - NHL backup
Jordan Foote 6-3 200 (LW) - N/A
Mike Walsh 6-2 200 (RW) - N/A

Atlanta has a ton of size on the blueline but not so much in the forward ranks.

Lane Manson - 6'9"
Boris Valabik - 6'7"
Paul Flache - 6'6"
Brian Sipotz - 6'6"
Braydon Coburn - 6'5"

All have fairly solid frames. None are beanpoles. Potential is another question, though. Only Coburn is a sure-fire NHLer. Manson and Flache I don't have much hope for. Valabik's a high-risk/high-return type, and Sipotz has been a pleasant surprise in the AHL as a first-year pro. He may make the NHL yet.

To project Jessiman on 1st line is a stretch at this point. Will either be hit or miss, I predict miss IMO.

Like it or not that it is his upside. A guy with his size, skating ability, and skills can't be considered anything but first line material. It's not like he's Adam Creighton.......... :sarcasm:

Chicago's big ones: HTs&WTs off the Blackhawks official website:

Olli Malmivaara (D) 6'7 220
Markko Antilla (RW) 6'7 200 * reportedly 6'9 when they drafted him,so until he's
actually at a Hawks' rookie camp and measured,we
don't know for sure whether it is 6'7 or 6'9...

Dustin Byfuglien (D/F) 6'3 263 ** reportedly his weight got more under control
this season in Prince George (245-250?)

Brian Bickell (LW) 6'3 213 ...I think he is up another inch to 6'4 now...
Adam Berti (LW) 6'3 193
Cam Barker (D) 6'3 213
Brent Seabrook (D) 6'3 215
Jared Walker (C) 6'3 183
Troy Brower (LW) 6'3 210
Michael Grenzy (D) 6'3 199
Joanas Nordqqvist (C) 6'3 206

And in Norfolk (AHL):

Anton Babchuk (D) 6'5 202
Mikhail Yakoubov (C) 6'3 210
Michal Barinka(D) 6'3 200

Rene Bourque (LW) 6'2 205 *** well that doesn't quite make the 6'3 & over group--
but he looks closer to 6'3 220 to me...

Looking for others
For the Blues

David Backes - 6'3" 210 - 2nd line powerforward

Zack Fitzgerald - 6'2" 205 - 3/4 d-man
Trevor Bryne - 6'3" 220 - 5/6 d-man
David Fredriksson - 6'2" 214 - 4th line wing
D.J. King - 6'3" 230 - 4th line wing
Nikita Nikitin - 6'3" 178 - 5/6 d-man
Simon Skoog - 6'2" 218 - 5/6 d-man

Vasily Koshechkin: 6'6" 210 lbs
Brian Eklund: 6'5" 205 lbs
Gerald Coleman: 6'4" 190 lbs
Jonathan Boutin: 6'2" 206 lbs
Karri Ramo: 6'2" 192 lbs

And that's just the Lightning's goalie prospects. I hear goalie coach Jeff Reese is looking for a good 6th man to come in off the bench now that 6'4" 205 lb Joe Pearce has quit hockey. :)

D-men:
Art Femenella: 6'7" 240 lbs
Andy Rogers: 6'5" 206 lbs
Matt Smaby: 6'5" 205 lbs
Henrik Bergfors: 6'4" 225 lbs
Mike Egener: 6'4" 213 lbs
Jay Rosehill: 6'3" 195 lbs
Paul Ranger: 6'2.5" 215 lbs
Brady Greco: 6'2.5" 198 lbs
Gerard Dicaire: 6'2" 230 lbs

Forwards:
Karri Akkanen: 6'6" 202 lbs
Andre Deveaux: 6'5" 220 lbs
Evgeni Artukhin: 6'4" 254 lbs
Dennis Packard: 6'4" 234 lbs
Brandon Elliot: 6'4" 225 lbs
Adam Henrich: 6'4" 220 lbs
Alex Polushin: 6'4" 200 lbs
Mark Tobin: 6'3" 206 lbs
JF Soucy: 6'3" 205 lbs
John Toffey: 6'3" 200 lbs
Dusty Collins: 6'3" 196 lbs
Jan Zapletal: 6'3" 187 lbs
Dimitry Kazionov: 6'3" 185 lbs
Alexei Glukhov: 6'3" 176 lbs
Nick Tarnasky: 6'2" 233 lbs
Ryan Craig: 6'2" 220 lbs
Darren Reid: 6'2" 205 lbs
Zbynek Hrdel: 6'2" 194 lbs

Bottom line: if you aren't at least 6'2" and hovering around 2 bills the Lightning probably won't take you. Granted some of these guys don't have a snowball's chance of making the league, but we've got some big big guys coming through the ranks.

Kyle Chipchura 6'2'' 195lbs
Micheal Lambert 6'2'' 200lbs
Maxim Lapierre 6'2'' 180lbs
Ron Hainsey 6'3'' 215lbs
Cory Urquhart 6'2'' 195lbs
Andrew Archer 6'4'' 222lbs
Marcel Hossa 6'2'' 210lbs
Jon Gleed 6'2'' 200lbs
Jimmy Bonneau 6'3'' 220lbs
J.T. Wyman 6'2'' 195lbs

Don't forget 6'6" goalie prospect Dan Turple. He may never make the NHL, but he doesn't leave a lot of open space to shoot at....
