If those 2 pieces were a #1D and a 50-point forward, I could see EDM being contenders. The problem is acquiring that without losing important roster players.

And goaltending, and a face off specialist, and a sniper winger, and and and. Oilers are years away

If the Ducks move Silf, I assume it'll be for cap purposes, and decent futures will probably be the ask. I don't think Edmonton is the right team to deal with, there'll be a pretty solid market for Silf making me think he won't be dealt inside the division.

I don't like any of the versions of this proposal. No need to add to Silf, and no need to take back salary for depth guys we don't need just to make it work for the other team.

I'd love Silfverberg to play with Draisaitl, but this trade is not happening. We'd have to give up far too much to pry him loose that it wouldn't be worth it.

What would be the cost? I think he'd be a nice winger that can play both sides in the top 6 and his one-t would be welcomed on our pp.

My Offer:
2nd
NYI 3rd
Kassian
Caggiula

Pretty bad. They could get similar at the TDL. No interest in the two players at all

Silverberg for RNH

This is actually not terrible. Solid 2C (might be 3C behind Rico but 2C quality player) is a pretty good return for Silf. Contract isn't great but not horrible either. The fact that he can swing outside to the wing is also beneficial for the Ducks. He can play our 2c/3c until Steel is ready for a middle 6 role and swing to the outside on our top 6 when that time comes.

Value IN A VACUUM seems in the Ducks favor. A slightly overpaid 2C is a pretty good return for a top-6 RW rental. If the Ducks aren't planning to resign Silf either to keep or for a sign-and-trade, this is a solid return.

The biggest obstacles are the fact that its EDM and navigating the salary cap. The twins' contract ends the same year as RNH's and Kesler's ends the year after. Kase/Ritchie need to be resigned and Gibson is due for a hefty raise next year.
