I don't mean like an RFA, but has a player ever played for one time, then July first came, he signed with another team just to have them trade him to some other team ?
Just incase it's too confusing.
Player A is playing for Team A. July 1st comes around and player A is now an UFA. He signs with Team B and a few weeks later, player A is traded to team C before even playing a game with Team B
