What do the Pen's need with Sibenailer?

Cap Friendly already has him on Pittsburgh, but has him listed as minor league. Pittsburgh has 7 NHL d-men and 8 AHL d-men. They have no d-men on IR or LTIR. They have 45 of a possible 50 contracts active.

Columbus has 7 NHL d-men and 7 AHL d-men. They have 47 of 50 contracts active.

I'm fascinated. How do these types of deals begin? Are the teams talking about something more and things get cast aside one-by-one until Sebinailer for futures is all that is left? Does one GM call the other and say I need to clear a spot, what do you see that you would like? This whole process just fascinates me.

Now that I think about it more, Jarmo would have been at 48 contracts this morning. If the upcoming moves are Panerin for these 3 players, and he also has a deal for Bobrovsky for two other contracts, he would be over the 50 limit.

I bet Jarmo is clearing room for multi-player return. If he is now at 47 he can do a 2 out and 5 back and stay in compliance.
