This has got to be the first time in history an entire team has been nominated for the Hart. Good for the Pittsburgh Sidney Crosbys.

I'm sure the main board is having a fit just because Crosby is nominated.

It's Kucherovs and it deserves to be but good for Sid. He deserved a nomination with how key he was for us this year.

lol @ those saying Kane was "robbed." He was snubbed. which isn't that bad when you consider the state of the game. It was probably a tossup between him and Crosby. #88 put up more points, but #87 was effective at both ends.

This team, without Sidney Crosby's performance this season, is probably picking in the top-5 of the draft this summer.

I'm only half joking.

No offense to Sid, but I’d rather have that outcome than a first round sweep and a Hart nomination for him...

They're all finalists. Every single NHL player is eligible to be voted for in the one voting session they have.
Sid probably came second or third, which is about right. They just haven't announced it yet.

Yeah how great would it have been if we had our top guys miss most of the season(since thats the only way this is possible) and we missed the playoffs...getting a top 10 pick? This has to happen eventually if we want to get that next elite player unless we trade some guys to make that happen.

Id rather not waste another season so we should look to move mutliple players and get into the top 10 of this draft.

We aren't close to a playoff team without Sid taking into account Malkin having his worst season. Especially when you see what happens when Sid has a rough stretch. Swept by the freaking Islanders. Definitely deserving of the nomination.

Kucherov having the best statistical season of this era? Yeah, gotta be him.

Nah, we should be trying next year again to be a contender....we need another top 6 forward and to swap out two D men, and will need to trade out to get that ...if we make some moves it should be with the goal to win...if that doesn’t work, fire the coach first...and if we’re still not close, by all means trade off good players and tank for a top pick...

No chance in hell. They might have thrown a Selke at him because they feel guilty about the lack of awards to the greatest player of his generation and a top ten player in NHL history. But they didn't even do that.

He carried the Pens to a playoff spot, generally had a void at RW compared to most stars, played the more taxing position while excelling defensively. I’ll take Sid’s season over Kane yea.

I would have preferred Sid getting no recognition whatsoever. Just have him eat bile all Summer and come back pissed off to the N'th.

Beyond that it is somewhat hilarious that you have two out of three nominees completely blow it compared to their regular season standards in the playoffs while the third didn't get there, and the guy who should have made it over Sid didn't either.

There is just no way Kane was not individually more impressive than Sid this season. You all know this.

I know you want to be objective but Kane had 10 more points in 2 more games and wasn’t in the same universe defensively. His impact at ES was not on the same level. So no, I don’t know that.

I think you could make the same D argument against Kucherov. Its just a matter of him having way more support that he outscored Kane - and a way better D/team that his plus/minus and possession numbers were so much better.

For me Kane individually was superior to Sid this season.
