Should the Flyers trade their two 2nds to move up?

Nah I'll keep the two 2nds, UNLESS it's a great move-up.

Like a Konecny is sitting there and we're going "...what the hell are they waiting for?!"

I'm not getting the vibe from this draft. Last year had some really good players go from 1-10 and even Connor fell into the teens. I'm getting that this is a 2 players draft and then some pretty good players. I mean if Tkachuk is falling to 20, then sure, but 1) I don't think he will 2) I don't think a Konecny level player might be there at 24.

Konecny was rated by some at 7 last year. Whos' rated 7 this year? Is there literally ANY way they fall to 25

Flyers will move around the draft if they see a guy they like falling and think they can move into a spot to take him. Speculating on where and when is asinine because not even the people that are in charge of making those decision know how the draft will turn out

Came to post this. Moving up for the sake of doing it is obviously silly. If there is a player in a spot where you have a reasonable offer that makes sense, you make it. With 11 picks Hextall has a lot of flexibility. He can move up, move down, he can trade picks this year for higher selections next year, etc. The toolbox is full enough to make a bunch of different moves if they make sense.

Don't know where the not likeing Kunin is coming from. All scouting reports say he has the ability to be a very good top 6 forward. Top end offensive skill. Plays wing and center. Ton of heart and leadership abilities. Carried his college team as a freshman.

What more can you ask for?

Yeah that's something you can't hate. I'd be okay with like 5 different choices now

How about instead of moving up or down with the 1st we package our 2 - 2nds plus a prospect to land another guy like ours around 19-22 in the 1st round. Idk what the price would be but I would be satisfied.

It'd be awesome to end up with a fall guy or just something like 2 of the below...

Kunin
Bellows
Rubstov
Keller
Brown
Exc.

That quickly fixes the lack of depth on the forwards with some grade A prospects.

Worth noting that those two 2nds where they're at, maybe - only maybe - gets you into the 27-34 range. Maybe. Last year San Jose had to add a 2nd from this year, and a 6th round pick to go from 39 to 31.

Unless it is a huge deal, I don't foresee the Flyers moving up from 18. I think a more likely scenario is them either moving up in the second or moving up to grab a second first rounder if someone falls that they like.
