I don't listen to the radio and growing up I only listened to country radio. I currently only listen to punk/alternative/metalcore so probably not.

I believe I've heard more references to Rush than I have songs.

In fact, when I hear 'Rush' I either think of Geoffrey Rush, the actor, or Nicholas Rush, the Stargate character.

I know Rush mainly due to their association with Trailer Park Boys years ago.

Aside from hearing a few songs of theirs on the radio growing up, I never actively listened to them.

I find Geddy Lee’s voice too annoyingly shrill.

In terms of international success and for over 4o years, they are Canada's best band. It also depends on your age, younger people may choose another band because it's been a few years since Rush has toured.
