Take out the shootout, play a full period of 3v3. Someone has to score right?

We're so pitiful. I doubted Mase a lot yesterday but he is one of the only guys bringing playoff hockey. All ONE player had to do was score out of the 4 chances and Mase would have had a 100%sv in shootouts yesterday.

Its really surprising that Girouxs shootout performance has fallen off a cliff the past 2 seasons.

3 for his last 21

Its time to go off the board and try and find someone that is good at it. Other teams use D men or role players,, Use Ghost, or even White or PEB. They have heavy shots, come in from the side to get goalie moving and just start firing the puck. Team obviously isn't skilled enough to be trying to deke out the goalies.

And certain guys like Couts who don't have any success just cant be an option .

Add me to the list of those shocked by that.

I knew his numbers haven't been good recently. But good lord that's pathetic.

I said it in the PGT but I'm honestly open to throwing randoms out there and hoping you find a Matt Hendricks type. It couldn't get any worse, could it?

It's annoying that they don't even try to get better. They can hate it all they want but it's a part of the game, and it could cost them a playoff spot.

Maybe I am wrong, but I don't think you can really "try to get better" at the shootout, unless you are talking about the Flyers getting guys that are better at the shootout to sign here.

Well they can address it in practices, if they did that I'm sure Giroux at least wouldn't have regressed so much at it, and they may find that one of the bottom 6, or defenders is actually really good at them. Obviously there's more pressing issues, but when they are costing the team a possible 6-12 points a year they can't ignore it.

The stats look a lot better now. Hopefully that was the last SO of the season.

Mason has took it upon himself to be better in last 2. It's showed and we do know his thoughts on this. I like the change up last time with Gagne and Cousins. Sweet

Go 3-3 for 8 mins, then give a tie.
