I liked Keefe alright, said some silly things every now and then but I think he was a decent coach. Always easiest to change a coach but you have to think more is coming for this team.
I don’t think he was the problem but he wasn’t the solution either.
This can’t be the only thing Toronto does(it won’t be) but it’s a start.

In times like this, please spare a moment to think of the HFB servers. May their death be swift

It was a given that Keefe had to be fired. The lack of success in the playoffs made it inexcusable to keep him. He’s a decent coach but it was clearly time to move on.

At the same time, the Leafs are probably just going to fire him and do nothing else, which isn’t going to solve their issues whatsoever. They’re absolutely going to scapegoat him and maybe Marner while ignoring the cancer at the top of the organization.

This was the easiest answer, but will it be the only big change?

It seems many are calling to trade Marner and shake up the core, but I have a feeling Keefe’s departure is the only core change.

Of course the Leafs have a lot of pending UFA’s and have room to shape things through free agency too.

Unsurprising, but surely not the problem in Toronto. Very excited to watch the TOR drama play out this offseason.
