Sick of losing these games against tired teams on the end of back-to-backs.

I don't expect the Sharks to win, but I hope it's still a good game. We'll probably hear Chealsea's Dagger quite a bit though.

Sharks 2 (Pavleski, Marleau)
Hawks 4 (Kane x2, Toews, Hossa)

Go Sharks!

Keys to the Game:

  1. Strong goaltending performance from Martin Jones. Jones will be going against Darling in the opposite net. This matchup favors Jones.
  2. Exit the defense zone cleanly to overcome Chicago's forechecking system. Hawks will forecheck strongly and keep one forward in the slot. Forecheckers that gain the puck will look to pass to the slot for the score. Sharks have been suceptable to leaving an opponent in the slot uncovered. Hawks will be looking to exploit this.
  3. Stay out of the sin bin. Hawks are ranked 4th in the league on the powerplay, and they will be enticing the Sharks into drawing penalties. Sharks need to counteract that by not taking the bait, but turn it back on the Hawks who will be the tired team.
