We really need this as sports fans!

49ers getting best value I’m guessing here. That Dline is incredible and there is only so much money.

It’s actually not a bad deal for SF. Their DL is their strength and they were very lite on high draft picks. Can improve other areas or just draft another dynamic DL with more control and less money. 1.13 is a high pick.

Their best bet may to trade it for multiple picks though

Good for both teams. No way SF was going to be able to keep Buckner after giving Armstead big money. Colts can afford to pay him and will get an immediate boost.

When you put your chips to the middle like that like the 49ers did, someone eventually gotta go.

SF could target Derrick Brown or Javon Kinlaw at 13. CB or trade down at 31.
Think Brown will be gone by then. Kinlaw they have a shot.

they need either help in the secondary and should think about a replacement for Staley as this is a good draft for OT.

Yup, thats why last season was their best chance to win.

However, their defence still remains the best in the league or close to it.
Have to manage the cap. Sherman and Staley are nearing the end due to their salaries too. Likely makes CB/Safety and OT areas that they target with their top picks.

Yea, lucky for them they had some really good drafts and hit on high picks like Armstead & Bosa.

Plus they got Jimmy G locked in, instead of constantly chasing a QB.

If they don't re-sign Sanders, they will draft a WR with that #13 pick. One of Jeudy/Ruggs/Lamb will be a 49er.

It’s a deep WR draft. If they are willing to trade down from 13 they could pick up a third since they don’t have picks on day 2 of the draft. But it’s also a good OL draft in terms of tackles. At 31, the OT talent drops off. If they can find Staleys replacement at 13, I’d take that and see what is there at 31 in terms of the secondary and WR.
