I think the difference between bad and good GMs are overstated.


McPhee traded Forsberg for Erat but has done an amazing job in Vegas.

Before last year, Ava fans wanted Sakic gone.

Chiarelli was considered good before.

Rutherford makes tons of bad decisions but he's won 3 cups.

Guys widely considered good GMs like Poile and Yzerman haven't won anything.

If those are lottery picks, sure I'll trade. That's a tangible difference.
