I don’t think Dallas wants 7 years of Seth Jones at 9.5m on their books. Then again I don’t think anyone wants 7 years of Seth Jones at 9.5m.

Seth Jones is the modern day better version of Dion Phaneuf who also got slagged due to usage and contract on some crappy teams.

But this trade proposal is just nuts as Harley is 22 and emerging and a RFA so still cost controlled to a certain extent.

Jones gets pooped on a lot because he's overused, overpaid, and on a crap team. I would rather have Harley due to age and contract, but Jones is currently the better player for now.

Jones would need to be closer to 6.500 for anyone to seek him out.

Yeah at this point I'd say Harley's virtually untouchable, it'd take an overpay for Dallas to even consider moving him.
