Prefer Anaheim, but both would be uphill battles.

I'm really excited to see how some of our guys respond to the playoffs. This is what it's all about. So happy after all those down years.

Nope. Colorado and Anaheim play each other for their last game so no matter what St. Louis can't be at the top.

Meh. Lobo beat me.

There's literally nothing on the AAC schedule next week. Mavs last home game is Saturday. They won't start the post season until the 19th, but they'd be on the road first.

If we do Wednesday...it could be Wednesday, Friday, Sunday, Tuesday?

I'm guessing they'd want the Sharks/Kings series to be on the opposite night of a potential Stars/Ducks series. Colorado series would obviously start Thursday.

SAP Center has a concert on the 19th. So they obviously can start on Thursday and then play Saturday, so maybe that pushes them to the Wednesday slot and Dallas Thursday?

Then lord hope for the Ducks.

All homerism aside, I think we have the best shot at an upset. We play well against good teams and lose to ****** teams.

I really really hope we don't start until Thursday, I'll be be driving through rural OK Wednesday, and if its a Sunday afternoon game at home I would have to find someone to use my kids tickets to game 3. So really hoping series starts on Thursday for Thursday Saturday, Monday, Wednesday to start.
Dont the NHL playoffs typically start almost right after the season ends.

We'll be stuck in the Pacific Division Playoffs throughout if we play Anaheim, right?

If so, I'd rather play Colorado just to avoid all the pacific timezone starts, just in case we can pull the upset. But I'll be honest, I don't care one bit.

Can we win the Pacific Division?

http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/2014/3/25/5546806/nhl-playoffs-format-2014-system-bracket-stanley-cup

I'm still trying to figure out the new playoff system. Back in the original divisional format, the division champion was decided in the playoffs. When they went away from that format, the division champions were crowned based on regular season standings...

Under this new format, say we play Anaheim in the first round... since there's no re-seeding in the second round, if we win the "Pacific Division Finals" then are we Pacific Division Champions, despite playing in the Central Division finally?

I'll be honest... I'd love to win another Pacific Division title, just to jack with the old neighbors.... or will "division champions" be decided in the regular season, like they have been in the past few years?

I've got a bit of mixed emotions right here. On one hand I definitely would rather face Pacific teams than Central teams, but on the other I don't know if I would like us to play possible upset role in Selänne's last playoffs...

So everybody seems to prefer the Ducks. I'll be happy either way, but Getzlaf and Perry are scary good. Colorado has a deep team and goaltending. Screw it, go Stars!

Rather not play Colorado but hey if we do maybe we can get some revenge for those mid 2000s series when we were favored.
