Now, is he actually healthy enough to play, or is Hockey Canada putting pressure on him to play through an injury that needs more time to heal like they've done to many players before?

a rookie deal with "A" bonuses will be around $8 million. A second contract and depending on what style...could be 5 x $14 or 8 x $15 million. So, by the age of 26 he could be worth $78 million, or by the age of 29 he could be worth $128 .... Is one game worth it????? what are they doing? What is his agent doing?

This power to pressure that you speak of does not exist.

Only if he signed a 4 year ELC...which I don't believe exists.

Incidentally I question this decision too. But then to come on to here and read these humorous takes is another matter altogether...

I mean his agent came out and said that they were getting 2nd and 3rd opinions and that he wouldn't play if there was anything wrong...So there obviously was nothing wrong. Hard to believe but this tournament is actually pretty important to these kids lol.

They said in no uncertain terms that his health and career were the priority, so he must be in unlikely to reinjure.

If he did injure it again, the odds of something career ending are very small, so your post is crazy hyperbole. By that logic he should pack in the season. Why risk injury for QMJHL games?

If Hockey Canada was applying pressure, they wouldn't rush him back for an easy QF. This seems like he doesn't want to miss out on an opportunity he'll never get again in his life.

When he got injured he was rolling around like he got shot.

Now he's ready to play 3 days later?

Something doesn't add up
Agreed. Some miracle recovery indeed.

Player couldnt support his foot and he plays 3 days later? Wow.
