Shouldn't underestimate the Sabres, they are coming off a loss only 2-1 to Detroit. They're going to come out hard in front of their fans. Having said that, I still think Ottawa can manage to pull an upset and come out on top.

Should be a close game however, 3-2 Ottawa.

Sabres played well and almost tied the Red Wings in the 3rd. They'll be pumped for their home opener, and at the very least they'll be dangerous playing the role of spoilers all year.

I'd like to see us feature Turris' shot more this year. On the PP we should look to get him in the "Stamkos Zone". He's got a great shot - we should try and take advantage of it more often. I'd also like to see him on the PP1 unit - but I suspect it'll be Michalek (with JS & BR).

No matter what the circumstance the last few years, I always find that Ott/Buf games are really intense and exciting. I think Spezza loves playing them and has a personal rivalry with Miller going back to their AHL days. Karlsson has been good against them as well. Hopefully Ryan can join them in that tradition tonight

Agreed, no game is an easy win.

At the same time, they're in full rebuilding mode now so an upset is a bit strong I think.
