As I promised in the other Pre-game thread, I admit I was totally wrong. The Sens not only made it close, they beat us on a few suspect goals. Guess we had it coming. Now time for revenge and let's make it hurt.

Not going to say we're going to get revenge, we may end up losing again. Feels a lot like Detroit last year.

Principle's Office
Priority #1 should be fixing that D
Priority #2 should be practicing faceoffs until Suzuki & KK can't lift their damn arms
Priority #3 should be PP drills up the yin-yang

If we can make even incremental progress in these three areas, there isn't a team in the North that should run with us over the long haul...last night should be a clear wake-up call to our coaching staff as well as our players; when we work hard and do the little things the right way, we're dominant; when we coast and don't pay attention to detail, even the lowly Sens can beat us in our own barn...we finally have a team that can play Beast Mode hockey (we can play skilled, we can play fast, we can play heavy); it's time to play smart and dictate the game instead of playing primarily to counter the opposition...and this is on Clod and the rest of the staff as much as it is on the players; he's coached us since Day 1 like we're the 2011 Bruins...we're not and we never will be, no matter how hard he tries to make us into that mold...we're a different animal and, in my opinion, could be a better team if we use our strengths more consistently and work harder on fixing our shortcomings; remember, it was us, our Cammy-Gomez-Gionta led team that came the closest to taking those Bruins out and this team is miles ahead of that one in pure talent...

Aren’t habs usually good during afternoon games on SB weekend?

Usually TBL and Panthers on Saturday and Sunday down South.

Before 2019:

The Montreal Canadiens will try for their NHL-best 20th Super Bowl Sunday win when they host the Edmonton Oilers at Bell Centre (2 p.m. ET; SN, RDS, ESPN+, NHL.TV) in their annual matinee prior to the NFL's championship game.
It will be the 34th time the Canadiens have played on Super Bowl Sunday; they are 19-11-1 with two ties. The one post-regulation loss came two years ago, when the Oilers won 1-0 in a shootout. The Canadiens defeated the visiting Ottawa Senators 4-1 on Feb. 5, 2018, before the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the New England Patriots 41-33 to win their first Super Bowl.

Facts and Figures: Canadiens thrive on Super Bowl Sunday

Tomorrow will be time for the Méga Moullllahhhhh!

Sorry, I just like to repeat that phrase from that bothersome casino ad we see 15,000 times per game on RDS.

I want a complete obliteration. Hope the boys come out flying tomorrow and school the Sens.

I'd love that too but I have a feeling all I'm going to be hearing is "Stootz Lahhhhhhhhh". Sounds like a laxative made from hen excrement.

From the same company that brought you Rico-lahhhhhhhhh.

Price needs to be back there. Needs to get into a groove before the Laffs matchups.

It's going to help for sure but the whole effort was bungled, so it's a team thing coupled with failed coaching approach probably.

They must have taken the opposition too lightly, which when you do that, it will make anyone play way better than they are.
