Good signing. Aspirot went from being undrafted and ECHL bound to becoming a top 4 Dman on one of the best teams in the AHL. Probably tops out as a top pairing AHL Dman but I wouldn't be at all surprised if he claws his way up to the NHL with us or another organization

Curious as to why this contract was necessary when he was already under contract, anyone have any insight?
"Undrafted, Aspirot originally signed a two-year, two-way AHL contract with Belleville ahead of the 2019-20 campaign. The 2020-21 portion of that contract is automatically voided upon the signing of the entry-level agreement with Ottawa. "
Was the 2 year deal signed last year a two way Belleville/Brampton contract and now it is a two way Ottawa-Belleville contract?
