If so, tonight shouldn't be the game we want to lose. Depriving Pittsburgh of 2 points tonight could earn us multiple draft spots with that picks of theirs.

There are 7 playoff teams all clustered together with 97-100 points and one or two games remaining. Ideally, we want Pittsburgh to be as close to the bottom of those 7. Currently, they have the third highest points with 98.

Wrong. It does not guarantee third overall pick. Finishing second last guarantees a pick in the top 5 due to the lottery for the top 3 picks.
