It's interesting what MacLean is doing.

He's making the lines in a way where scoring is going to be divided. I like that. Instead of trying to load up, he's spreading it out. All 4 lines will be relied upon to play a solid two way game.

We're missing a lot of our skill, so Maclean is going with the approach where he rolls 4 lines and sees what they do. Out of that group, the line with the most ice time is going to be the one that is playing the best. That's why Maclean should win the Adams.

Hoping Mac tries to keep Gryba off the ice when Marchand is flying down that left wing. Let Methot and Gryba take lucic and Krecji's line.

Interesting stat:

Ottawa games feature the most SOGs in the league, and yet the least goals scored of any games in the league.

Ottawa is a pretty good team defensively but we give up the blueline fairly easily. Our better work is done in front of our net and the opposition's net. We can break down teams in the neutral zone but we don't seem too focused on clogging it up. I think this partially explains the high shot counts. If the numbers are out there I'd guess we'd be a middle of the pack team when it comes to conceding real scoring opportunities. You can gain the line and get shots on us but our goalies have solid rebound control and our D aren't going to let you get in our goalie's faces on a regular basis.
