Questionable move but I think it could be better for him to get a chance somewhere else and try to become at the very least a good middle 6 RW.

I'd take him on my team as its low risk, high reward. We poor and he good (potentially)

Doest he have wheels at all? Wouldn't mind the pens grabbing him for that. Could fill out the 3rd line nicely for cheap.

I hope someone takes a chance on him like Dallas did with Perry.
He's been a productive player the last few years. Especially if he's been dealing with addiction, I think he's a pretty good bet to bounce back and be at lest a competent bottom 6 scoring option. Depending on what his contract demands are, I can see quite a few teams interested in his services.

He's going to be getting ~11.3m of the 14.5m on his deal, all he needs is $1.6m/yr for the next two years to break even. Even on 2 years of league minimum this won't actually cost him that badly.
